When Microsoft’s Surface Pro tablet, running Windows 8 Pro, was released about 2 weeks ago, there was little fanfare surrounding its gaming capabilities.  Most of the news and advertisements showed the tablet running your typical touch screen games like Angry Birds.  However, since the tablet runs a full Windows operating system, as opposed to the watered down Windows RT surface tablets that came out a few months ago, we decided to pick one up and try running a few desktop games on it. Aion Goes “Truly Free” To Play!

I know, I know… this news is about 3 days old now as Aion went free on April 11th. To be honest, the reason none of us have posted about it is because we’re too busy playing.  The same day that the North American version of Aion went Free-to-play is the same day they released the 2nd expansion pack called Aion: Ascension 3.0.  Added in 3.0 are player housing, a lot of new dungeons and instances, and new areas to explore.  But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Apple Files Patent for Unibody Earbuds Design Which Hopefully Address Poor Quality Sound Issues

Just over a decade ago, the white earbuds were a fashion statement thanks to the silhouette iPod ads.  Now in 2012 the once popular white earbuds are a sign of being cheap for not buying better headphones.  Apple seems to finally realize this with their most recent patent for a unibody earbud design which may be included with the upcoming iPhone 5s.

Review: Digital Scrapbooking in the 21st Century

Scrapbooking doesn’t have to be all glue, glitter and paper cuts in the digital age. In fact, a lot of the current tablets and smart phone have apps that let you do some amazing things with the photos you own. I personally tried one for the iPad and the BlackBerry PlayBook. Memorable and embarrassing moments were enhanced in just a few tabs.

Free Apps from BlackBerry

If you’re a BlackBerry user and haven’t visited the App World for a while, you may want to go check it out. From now until May 31st, $77 dollars worth of apps are free to all BlackBerry users. Google Glasses: What to Expect from the Augmented Reality Glasses

Putting their own social networking site Google+ to work, the internet giant unveiled a “Project Glass” web page on the site showing off the new prototypes for their augmented reality Google Glasses project.  Though the designs are a work in progress and look like something out of Star Trek, the more interesting part of the page is actually the video which shows what one would see while using the glasses.

Your Expired Groupons are now Refundable… But Only in the US

Good news for those of you who may have bought a $20 voucher for 2 bikini laser hair removal treatments from Groupon which expired before you could use it – You can now get a refund, but only if you bought it in the US.  Groupon, the group coupon internet company, has agreed to settle a class action law suit in California alleging that expiration dates on their coupons were illegal.
