As expected, Apple Stores across Canada and the US will open at 8:00AM local time Friday morning in anticipation for the new iPad demand. Apple store launches have been known to be fun and chaotic which usually start with the staff running out as soon as the doors open, applauding those standing in line for being so patient.
Will you be lining up at any of the 22 stores across Canada? Or have you taken the smart road and pre-ordered in time to get the device delivered on Friday? Or better yet, have you realized that the new iPad isn’t really a huge improvement over the iPad 2 and have decided to wait and see what the iPad 4 has in store?

I won’t be lining up but I have the morning off Friday so I will head down to the fairview apple store around 8 and see how it is. If i get one, then woohoo, if not then I’ll just have to wait until my order ships in 2 weeks.

Why is everyone so excited about the ipad when there are already better tablets on the market? Apple at the eaton centre put up their rope queue barrier today expecting people to line up. It’s so pretentious.(also I wish gizmomash comments had a preview function)

The lineup is always insane whenever there’s an Apple launch. I love that apple make sure everyone in the line up has coffee, water and muffins though. I thought it’s hilarious. They can afford it with what they’re making on the ipad I suppose.
