Tomorrow, March 31st, at 8:30PM local time, you’re encouraged to turn off your lights for an hour. Do it! Last year was somewhat disappointing in Toronto with very few businesses shutting off in the downtown core. I’m confident that we’ll do better this year.
Can Earth Hour really make a difference? Of course it can. It sends a loud and clear signal to our government about energy conservation. But instead of boring you with the details about the importance of it, I’m going to lead to you over to The Province (ignore when they say Earth Hour is today because it’s actually the 31st) where Canadian Home Contractor and Celebrity Mike Holmes discusses about the importance of Earth Hour.
So Canada, let’s do a lot better this year and shut off our lights at 8:30PM sharp tomorrow, and head out and take a nice breath of fresh air for an hour. And hey, while you’re at it, why not make it two hours?
